Stay Alert | Protect Yourself from Unauthorised Sellers Claiming Association with CeMAT Australia 2026
Keep your event experience safe and secure
As we prepare for CeMAT Australia 2026, we want to remind our exhibitors, sponsors and attendees to stay alert to potential scam activity. Large-scale exhibitions can sometimes attract unauthorised third parties who falsely claim to represent the event or its organisers.
These individuals or companies may attempt to sell exhibitor services, accommodation packages, attendee lists or marketing opportunities that are not genuine or officially connected to CeMAT Australia or Hannover Fairs Australia.
What to watch for
Be cautious if you receive unsolicited contact that:
-
Comes from an email address not ending in @hannoverfairs.com.au
-
Offers “exclusive” marketing, sponsorship or accommodation deals outside official CeMAT channels
-
Promises attendee or exhibitor contact lists for sale, CeMAT does not sell or share data
-
Requests payment via unfamiliar accounts, PayPal, or cryptocurrency
-
Uses pressure tactics such as “book now” or “last chance to secure your spot”
How to stay safe
To protect your organisation:
-
Verify before responding. Always check the sender’s email domain and confirm legitimacy with your CeMAT contact.
-
Trust only official communications. All legitimate CeMAT updates come from @hannoverfairs.com.au.
-
Do not share personal or financial details through unofficial channels.
-
Be sceptical of data-selling offers. CeMAT does not sell or provide attendee lists.
-
Report suspicious messages to our team so we can alert others.
